Defense Comptrollership Program

The Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management and Comptroller (ASA (FM&C)), Comptroller Proponency Office extends an invitation to apply for the Defense Comptrollership Program (DCP) Cohort 2022. The LTT begins 12 MAY 2021 and concludes 22 JUL 2022. The application suspense date is Tuesday, 15 Sep 2020.

The DCP is a joint, premier academic program at Syracuse University, Martin J. Whitman School of Management and Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. The 14 month, 60 hour graduate curriculum postures FM leaders to deal with complex fiscal and economic challenges at both operational and strategic levels. Successful completion of the DCP yields a Master of Business Administration with concentration in Business Analytics, an Executive Master of Public Administration, and a test-based FM professional credential. Civilians and Military personnel from all services and career programs are encouraged to apply. The DCP is open to Civilians in grades GS-11-13. However, GS-14 personnel may apply. The Army Military selection priority is Active and Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Finance and Comptroller (FC) Soldiers in the grades of senior Captain (CPT) – Major (MAJ). The target YGs for Academic Year (AY) 21-22 DCP are YG 2010 and YG 2014. However, Officers in other YGs may apply. Officers are required to serve in a utilization assignment immediately following the DCP. Exceptions to policy will not be granted for Officers in YG 2012 requesting to defer utilization to attend PME (if selected for resident). Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) selection priority is for senior Sergeant First Class (SFC), Master Sergeant (MSG) and junior Sergeant Majors (SGMs).
