Command Cost Models
The Command Cost Model Documents (CCMDs) contain the necessary information to be used as a reference guide to aid in understanding the Command’s current ‘as is’ cost model processes across the Army’s multiple ERP platforms such as GFEBS, GCSS-A, and LMP. These documents define a Command’s current and future cost objectives and represents how their cost model processes are utilized within the cost model’s master data capabilities.
The CCMDs are created utilizing the Suppliers, Inputs, Process, Outputs & Customers (SIPOC) Questionnaire. SIPOC is a methodology with tool/templates, used to define and document the organizations or programs business model. It diagrams the linking of Suppliers, Inputs, Process, Outputs and Customers. It also documents the measures and performance metrics (effectiveness and efficiency). The SIPOC questionnaire, in conjunction with six deep dive workshop sessions on master data, cost objects, future cost objectives and pain points are utilized to update or create the CCMDs.
