Mr. Michael A. Ramsey

Deputy Director and Senior Advisor, Army Budget

Michael A. Ramsey is responsible for planning, programming, and budgeting research, development, and acquisition for the Army’s major investment programs, annually totaling $30 billion. In support of this, he supervises the Programs and Priorities Division, Warfighting Analysis Division, and Resource Documentation Division.
He is responsible for all resource related activities for the G-8 Force Development Directorate including the internal budget. He serves as the Force Development Senior Civilian Manager and as a representative to the Joint Test and Evaluation Senior Advisory Council, Army Cost Review Board, and Army Study Advisory Groups.
In the absence of the Director of Force Development, Mr. Ramsey provides guidance and supervision to 14 divisions charged with planning, fielding, and equipping the Army with major systems/items of equipment.
